Tanisha Sonkar was her mother's first child. After her birth, Tanisha's mother was afflicted
with postpartum depression which adversely affected her flow of milk. To make matters worse,
Tanisha's mother also had a breast structure problem which further reduced the amount of
milk available for feeding. With the supply of breastmilk so inadequate, Tanisha herself
rejected breastfeeding altogether.

accordance with U.S. Federal tax laws.
For each $250 mother and child sponsorship, you will receive three updates on the progress of the mother and child including a photo. The first will take place at the time of sponsorship - an introduction to the pregnant woman; the second will take place just after delivery introducing you to the new child with an update on the health of the mother; and the third will take place when the child turns two years old.
